Integration of Art into Campus Life

The Visual Arts Department is committed to building   a rich, creative atmosphere and a visually attractive environment for the school. We look to place artworks in every corner of the campus to integrate art across daily school life. A vast art mural spans across various areas of the school to bring the joy of arts to all who use the space. An art pavilion is also set up at the main entrance of the school, where students’ creative works are displayed.

Learning Experiences Through Art

Committed to promoting diversified learning, the Visual Arts Department invites artists from different disciplines every year to teach our students using a range of creative media. Among the invitees, local bronze sculpture artist Li Shiu Chung and local woodworking artist Wong Tian Yan. This year, in conjunction with St. James’ Settlement, we have organised a “Street Furniture Workshop” and “Gate Painting Workshop”, allowing students to explore public spaces and think about how to relate to public spaces and the community. Our Visual Arts Department plans to co-organise computer graphics courses with CG Live, by inviting well-known designers to teach professional graphic design and 3D illustrations to students.
